Human Resources is the management discipline that can make or break an organization. An active and progressive HR department can boost productivity and profits unlike any other section of an organization. Many people aren't aware of all the activities that make up an HR departments duties. Benefits administration is but one of the many important tasks that the HR department is in charge of. Enrollment of employees in the health plans and insurance policies available, as well making sure the laws are followed regarding labor issues and cobra insurance. Employee perfomance management is another important aspect of the HR function. This is tied to managing the morale of the employees. Part of that process is accomplished through employee surveys. Employee surveys help an organization take the pulse, so to speak, of the company and diagnose areas that may need fixing. We salute the HR Professional! They fill an important but sometimes little regarded role in the corporate hierarchy. Fortunately there are software products that help them peform their duties. The larger the enterprise the more important it is to subscribe to or own a software solution to address human resources problems head on. |
